In the begging of this act Arron stands alone at the front of the stage and starts a soliloquy, this announces his thoughts to the audience about Tamora’s rise to power in Rome. Then the two sons of the the newly announced empiress of Rome, enter arguing with each other about which one of them loves Lavinia (the only daughter of Titus Andronicus) the most. During this argument Arron comes in and persways the brothers to stop arguing so close to the ‘Emperor’s palace’, then he persways them to stop arguing but instead group up together and do something else to get her to notice them, he does this using the quote ‘Why then it seems some certain snatch or so
Would serve your turns.’ The act then ends with the twos brother plotting how they would get to her.
I believe that the best quote for/from to describe this act is ‘For shame, be friends, and join for that you jar.’
